For Android Developers, not consumers. This is a simple, efficient layout for data entry screens. Each child View is positioned on a grid of equal sized cells. It is assigned a starting X,Y coordinate and may span WxH adjacent cells. (Think of it as a piece of graph paper.) The relative size and position will remain the same if the parent is re-sized.This application includes a description of the concepts and several examples of use. The examples show both how the user screen will appear, and the XML or Java used to create that screen. The Show Grid toggle can be used to show the underlying grid used to layout the View controls on the screen (very handy for future maintenance). You can generate a JAR file for use in your own projects. The JAR file can be used directly by adding it to the build path of your project, and also contains the source code if you need to make changes. (The source code of this application is also included as an example of usage.)Note: Generation of the JAR implies that you agree to the license terms.
